Your Top Carry-on Essentials While Traveling

We all have some basic amenities that we take with us while we are traveling.  Personally, I use my travel neck pillow on every flight, and don’t fly without one.

From ear plugs, to travel blankets, we asked our Twitter followers and Facebook fans what comfort items and carry-on essentials they bring on a trip.

Here are the top items:

  • Lip Balm
  • Earphones
  • Ear Plugs
  • Travel sized Toothbrush and Toothpaste
  • Neck Pillow
  • A Travel Blanket
  • Something to Read
  • Candies and gum

And of course, no trip is complete without your music!  Most everyone said their mp3 player was a carryon essential.

Most of these items can be purchased at Rexall , an Aeroplan Partner, and one of the participating partners of The Great Aeroplan Round Up meaning you get 2X the miles when you purchase items for your trip!  When you shop at 3 or more Great Aeroplan Round Up Partners, you will receive a 15% discount to use for an Air Canada flight.

So what items of comfort do you bring when you’re traveling?   Let us know!

I fly long haul regularly so use ear plugs often. My most comfortable ones were moulded from a kit, they’re much more effective than foam ear plugs and don’t seem to wear out. It’s much cheaper than having your earplugs moulded by an audiologist; I’d definitely recommend them to anyone who uses them often.

Noise canceling headphones especially for my frequent trips to Asia.
Sometimes a very small pillow. I travel with only carry on luggage.
