We arrived safe and sound and somewhat tired and greeted by Julian and girls from Safe Spaces! We were escorted to the car and driven to the Utalii hotel.
First impressions – everyone is so friendly and always smiling! It’s very welcoming!
Sitting at breakfast waiting for Julian, Sara and Persis to join genevieve and I – listening to the other guests speaking Swahili. It still hasn’t sunk in that I am finally here in Africa!
This morning we will attend the NBA basketball finals of the girls at Safe Spaces! Getting ready to cheer for the home team!
Will write more at the end of the day!!!
Here are some pictures: It rained just a few minutes before the big game! Our Safe Spaces girls have decided to wipe the whole court with brooms and cloth.
Here is a little video from the basketball game! The Girls won 47 to 36!
