Yeah, this seems all bs! I’ve been collecting points for a while and now have 103, 000 points. I was surprised and happy because the last time I checked it was 70 k. I thought oh cool, I’m pretty sure I can go somewhere now! I added their app, and they have a goal tab where it tells u if u r near the points u need to fly to the location u chose. Oh yeah, I had enough points alright, to go there! But not to come back! Wot is this bs!? I went to the website to see how much points I need to go to New York (from Toronto) for 2 people. It’s about 100 k round trip. That’s almost my whole points and that’s just to New York!! How pathetic! Such disappointment.

The app alone is disappointing. We should be able to search for flights instead of going to the actual website. So far it’s pretty useless.

Aeroplan is a farce. All the bragging of what they will do is crap. There is no way anywhere on the site or by telephone that one can opt out and replace their points to the place of origin (i.e) Thrifty Foods. Once you are in – you are in for good no matter what attempts are made to opt out. We have been trying for a year to opt out and there is no way to do it. and our points keep adding up in Aeroplan and we’re unable to even use what is there. I want out of Aeroplan and Aeroplan has no method to make that choice.
